Andy Gentry has been a personal trainer/strength coach since 2002. He is the owner of Fitness 416 Powerlifting, along with his wife Missy. As the owner of Fitness 416 Powerlifting, he facilitates powerlifting meets across Montana and the surrounding states. Andy is a judge and the Montana State Chair for 100% Raw Powerlifting Federation and the USPA (United States Powerlifting Association). Andy has coached state, national, international, and world champions. Andy resides in Red Lodge Montana.

State Games of America Qualifier

All 2015 and 2016 Big Sky State Games medalists, and some 2017 medalists are eligible to compete in the
2017 State Games of America in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Current sports are:

Archery, Basketball, Billiards, Bowling, Cycling, Disc Golf, Fencing, Figure Skating, Flag Football, Golf, Ice Hockey, Karate, Lacrosse, Pickleball, Racquetball, Road Race, Rollerskating, Shooting, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Tae Kwon Do/Judo, Table Tennis, Tennis, Track & Field, Weightlifting, and Wrestling.

Special Information

Format

The competition is a Raw meet. The following divisions will be offered:

  • Full Power (Squat, Bench, & Dead Lift)
  • Push/Pull (Bench & Dead Lift)
  • Bench Only
Gear Requirements
  • Singlet is mandatory.
  • Knee socks are required for dead lift, but belt and wrist wraps are optional.
  • Competitors age 11 & Under may wear shorts and t-shirt.
  • Gear requirements will be strictly enforced!
Rules & Regulations
  • The competition is sanctioned with the 100% Raw Powerlifting Federation. 100% Raw Power Lifting Federation rules apply.
  • 100% Raw Powerlifting Federation Membership is required and sold onsite. Adult memberships cost $30.00 and youth memberships (ages 6-19) cost $15.00.
  • This is a natural meet (random drug testing will be conducted).
  • Athletes may cross over (open, age group, law/fire/military), and pay for the additional event. The age determination is July 17, 2016. Bring proof of age.
  • Body Weight, RAW Card Number, and Expiration are needed when registering.
  • An overall male and female winner will be awarded based on a formula.
