Barb Lawson has served as BSSG Golf Commissioner for over 10 years. She is a charter member of both of the Ladies Leagues at Yegen Golf Club and also serves on the board for the morning league. Barb works as the Tournament Coordinator and Pro Shop Attendant at Yegen Golf Club. In 2007 she was inducted into the Yellowstone County Ladies' Golf Hall of Fame.
Connor Rakowski is a 2012 graduate of Rocky Mountain College where he earned a degree in Business Management. He played for the Battlin' Bears squad all four years being a co-captain his final three years. He earned Frontier First All Conference in each year while playing for the Bears being top 5 in scoring average every year. He helped lead the team to its first NAIA mens national golf championship appearance hosted at TPC Deere Run during his 2009-10 season as well as a Frontier Conference Championship. During his 2010-11 season he qualified once again individually for the national championships while sharing Frontier conference Co-Player of the Year. He was named to the 2011 PING All Region West Third Team as well as 2011 NAIA Third Team All-American. He recorded five individual wins during his four year career. A Colorado transplant Rakowski grew up in the western part of the state outside of Basalt. A multi sport athlete growing up Rakowski split time between golf, basketball and baseball. He is employed at Peter Yegen course and looks forward to share his experiences as well as knowledge of the game with the golfers that walk in the door.
Jackie was involved in Yellowstone County Junior Golf alongside her parents, Nels and Katie Christiansen and her sister Lea Ann Caudle for over 16 years. Became assistant director in 2003 with her sister and in 2013 became the sole director of the program. Her parents started the Yellowstone County junior program in 1983 and watched it grow from four courses and less than 100 golfers to all nine county courses and over 250 golfers.
All 2017 and 2018 Big Sky State Games medalists, and some 2019 medalists are eligible to compete in the
2019 State Games of America in Lynchburg, Virginia.
