The 11th Annual Big Sky State Games National Anthem Contest winner is Marie Stott of Ballantine. The sixteen year old attends Huntley Project High School. She will sing the National Anthem at the 35th Anniversary Big Sky State Games Opening Ceremonies on Friday, July 17 in Billings.
Stott began singing at a very early age. She performs the National Anthem multiple times a year at all home sporting events, as well as at the National 4-H Congress. On top of it all, Stott is an active member in band, choir and participates as a cheerleader at Huntley Project High School. When she is not singing, she enjoys sewing, leather work, tending to cattle, goats, and horses on her family’s property.
Stott said, “I am so excited for this opportunity. I also auditioned in the 4th grade and made Top 5. I will be a senior this next year!” Gates open at 6 p.m. at Wendy’s Field at Daylis Stadium.
